Pizza Dough/ Cinnamon Rolls

 Pizza Dough/Cinnamon Rolls 

I actually don't know if I've ever made this dough for pizza... I always use it for cinnamon rolls. This comes from my mom's FCCLA recipe book Trina Esplin. 

Dough 

1 TBSP. yeast 

2 1/2 TBSP. sugar

1/4 C. shortening ( I always use butter)

1/2 C. water 

1 1/2 C. scalded milk 

1 1/2 tsp. salt 

Dissolve yeast in warm water, add sugar. Scald milk, add shortening and salt, cool to luke warm. Add yeast and sugar. Mix well and add flour. Let rise for 1 hour and roll out to fit pan. Bake 375 for 15-20 minutes.

For Cinnamon Rolls

Roll the dough out on floured surface.  Melt butter and spread over the flat dough. Mix sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle over the dough. Roll up the dough and cut with floss. Placed on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden. 

Cream Cheese Frosting 

4 oz. cream cheese

1/2 C. butter 

1 TBSP. vanilla 

1 TBSP. milk 

4-5 C. powdered sugar

Soften butter and cream cheese. Add all ingredients together.
