Butter Syrup

 Butter Syrup 

Which should really be called coconut butter syrup. Of course it has coconut in it. Bryan is not a fan of coconut and likes to think I add it to everything. I kind of do... I do try to control myself these days. But this is me baking... you know what would make this even better coconut! Yes! Add it! I guess that's just me. 

This recipe actually comes from our Seminary teacher growing up. We would have early morning firesides and pancakes after and he would make his special butter syrup. Totally worth getting up early. 

Butter Syrup 

1  C. buttermilk 

1C. sugar 

1/2 C. butter

1/2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. vanilla 

2 tsp. coconut flavoring
