Cream Corn
I got this recipe from Julie Jones (one of their family holiday favorites). I started making it for my family holidays and now it's one of our holiday favorites. Especially my nieces and nephews. Briggs requests this and chicken and dumplings.
Cream Corn
20 oz frozen corn
8 oz whipping cream
6 tsp sugar
2 TBSP melted butter
8 oz milk
1 tsp salt
pinch of cayenne pepper
2 TBSP flour
I changed the directions from the original recipe because I think it was more efficient.
Melt the butter in a pot and add flour and make your roux. Add the rest of the ingredients except the corn. Bring to a boil and let simmer. Let it thicken up a little. Then add the corn. Keep simmering until desired thickness..
